Matmen Compete Well In Talent-Laden Tourney

The Britton-Hecla wrestling squad competed against some of the strongest competition it will see all year, and BH coach Josh Hawkinson was pleased with what he saw.

The Braves participated in the two-day Central Cass Tournament in Casselton, ND, on Friday and Saturday. Twenty-five teams from North and South Dakota and Minnesota were in the loaded field.

“We didn’t place anybody, but I was really pleased with how we finished the tournament,” said Hawkinson. “We had kids in winning positions in the last round of wrestlebacks, and we looked solid. We have Lamoure-Kindred on Tuesday (in LaMoure), and I hope to come home from that dual focusing on all the positive things we have done the past few days.”
