Lady Braves Fall

The Britton-Area volleyball team is still seeking its first win of the season, dropping a match to Webster Area in straight sets on Thursday.

Coach Emily Hrabik’s squad, now 0-6, travels to Deuel on Thursday and hosts Waverly-South Shore on Tuesday with a junior high contest at 5 p.m. followed by the junior varsity and varsity matches.

“I was very pleased with the performance of the girls in the game against Webster,” said Hrabik. “Our girls stepped up on serve receive and passed really well the first two sets. We got stuck in one rotation in the third set against a solid spot server, but we’ve been working a lot at practice on reading and reacting to the servers. We are improving in this area.
