Lady Braves’ Comeback Falls Short In Opener

A short-handed Britton-Hecla girls basketball squad battled Mobridge-Pollock in its season opener on Saturday before falling 42-27.

The Lady Braves have just six high school players on this year’s roster with five eighth graders to provide some backup. But the older players played virtually all of the minutes in the opener.

“I thought our girls showed some resiliency in the fourth quarter by putting together a little comeback,” said Hrabik. “I saw some good things and think we can build off of it.”
