Hamlin Comes To Town Friday
For the second straight week the Britton-Hecla football team chalked up 52 points on the scoreboard and posted a 52-6 win over Clark-Willow Lake on Friday.
The win gives the Braves a 2-0 mark heading into its first home game of the season against 2-1 Hamlin on Friday with a 7 p.m. start. Hamlin has defeated Dakota Hills 44-16 and Great Plains Lutheran 41-0 while losing to unbeaten Deuel 28-13.
“Hamlin will come to town and we will likely see what we have for the last 10 years - they are a well-coached team and they have some very good skilled players,” said B-H boss Pat Renner. “Their quarterback is a three-year starter and is a great player, so we have to know where he is all of the time. They have a very scrappy defense as well, so we need our blockers to execute with precision this week so we can open up some holes. Our backs don’t need much space to break open a run, so that will be important against the Chargers.”
