Gridders Kick Off On Friday
Fans and coaches alike are excited to see this year’s version of the Britton-Hecla Braves football team take to the field for its highly-anticipated 2019 campaign.
After a first-week bye, the Braves travel to Waverly on Friday to tangle with Waverly-South Shore at 7 p.m. in the season opener for both clubs.
“This is by far the most versatile team I’ve coached,” said B-H boss Pat Renner. “It’s exciting and makes it a lot of fun, but it’s also challenging. And I think after the bye week everybody is excited to get going.”
