Braves Win Big In Grid Opener
Britton-Hecla’s football squad scored early and often on the way to a 52-0 seasonopening win over Waverly-South Shore on Friday that was called on the 50-point rule with 1:22 left in the third period.
Coach Pat Renner’s squad will now travel to Clark-Willow Lake on Friday, and Coach Pat Renner is taking nothing for granted.
“I think we need to go into the Clark game like we are playing a playoff game,” stressed Renner. “Clark-Willow Lake is down a little, but we do not want to go down there expecting a pushover because Coach Huber does a great job of getting his kids ready to play. We will throw in a few new things on both sides of the ball to keep the Cyclones guessing who will have the ball in their hands.”
