Barrel Racing Is Her Life

B-H Junior Qualifies For Rodeo Showcase

Kadence Haug admits that her life revolves around barrel racing, and that dedication is paying off.

The Britton-Hecla junior and daughter of Paige Haug and Josh Haug of Britton, has qualified for the 20X High School Rodeo Showcase to be during the PRCA Rodeo in Rapid City on Jan. 31. Haug and her horse, Rex, finished in the top three at one of the barrel racing competitions during the 2020 high school rodeo season to earn her spot among the 12-competitor field.

“This is the first time I have qualified and I really didn’t know how it worked,” said Haug. “It was really exciting for me when I received an email saying I had qualified for the Rodeo Showcase.”
