B-H Netters Fall In Regional
Great Plains Lutheran swept Britton-Hecla in first round play of the Region 1B volleyball tournament in Watertown on Monday to end the Lady Braves’ season.
Coach Emily Hrabik’s crew, seeded 10th in the tournament, battled the seventh seeded Panthers in the opening set before dropping a 25-20 decision, but the hosts controlled things the rest of the way with 25-11 and 25-12 wins.
Britton-Hecla ended its season with a 1-19 record, while GPL stood at 6-14 heading into its quarterfinal match at second-seeded Warner (19-1) last night Tuesday. Semifinal matches are set for Thursday at the site of the top seeds with SoDak16 matches to determine the eight state tournament qualifiers played next Tuesday. The state tournament will be played in Huron Nov. 19-21.
