Following their marriage, Georgia stayed at home for many years raising their five children. In the early 1980’s, they moved to Hill City where she held various positions including being a hotel maid, waitressing, and at the 1880 train where she worked in the gift shop and sold tickets. In 2008, they retired and moved to Lake City to be closer to family before coming to Madison in 2016.

She enjoyed attending many sprint car races with Mike in Rapid City. She was also well known for quilting, sewing placemats, playing all games and cards with her family. Most of all she was known as the family caregiver whenever anyone was ill or needed anything.

She is survived by her husband Mike; three children, Gay (Robert) Braun, Karen (Randy) Munk, and Thomas Thomas; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James and Terence; and four brothers, Eldon, Dwayne, Lowell, and Delman Bruns.
