DORELL MARY (ABRAHAM) DUGDALE

DoRell Mary (Abraham) Dugdale was born February 2, 1935, in Britton, SD, to Thomas and Barbara (Vrchota) Abraham. She grew up in Hillhead before moving to Britton during her sophomore year and graduated from Britton High School in 1953. Following high school, DoRell worked for Northern Electric in Aberdeen for one year.

On November 26, 1954, she was united in marriage with Gordon Dugdale in Britton, SD. The couple moved to Felix, England, for three years where Gordon was stationed. They returned to Britton where they joined the family business with Gordon’s Dad for 31 years. They had a winter home in Englewood, FL, for 29 years.

DoRell and Gordon had two children: Gwyn and Grant; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

DoRell was a member of the Britton Country Club for 58 years, Myakka Pines Golf Club in FL for 35 years, and VFW Auxiliaries in both Britton, SD, and Englewood, FL. She was a faithful follower of the Uffda Brudders for 29 years. DoRell was an avid golfer and held many Ladies titles at the Britton Country Club and won several out of town tournaments. She also loved to travel - she and Gordon traveled to several countries in Europe over 15 times as well as Africa and Asia; but Italy was her favorite where she traveled with her daughter Gwyn in 2018.

DoRell passed away peace fully in her sleep on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at her home Cypress, TX.

She was preceded in death b: her beloved husband Gordon father Thomas; and mothe Barbara.

She is survived by daugh ter Gwyn Jackson (Terry); soi Grant (Pam); grandsons Teri,. Jackson and Sean Dugdale granddaughters Teresa Jackson Teryn Jackson, and Kell: Dugdale; great grandsoi Drayson Cannon; great grand daughters Hazel Cannon, Lun. Ganas, and Soleil Ganas; sis ters Verona Wilgers and Mabli Miller (Marsh); and brothe Thomas Abraham.

DoRell’s memorial ser vice will be held at the Firs Lutheran Church on Saturday November 7 at 2:00 pm. Thos attending are encouraged to fol low COVID19 protocols in cluding wearing masks and so cial distancing. The service wil be livestreamed on the Prici Funeral Chapel Facebook page for those wishing to attend vir tually. Inumment will follow a the Britton Cemetery. A cele bration of life ceremony will bi held at the Britton Country Clul at 4:00 pm.
