Veblen Enjoys Summer Bash

Above, the Summer Bash 5K run was very well attended with over 90 participants for a record turnout this year. Check the story to see the full results. The sheep were a little too wild and crazy for most of the kids who tried the mutton-busting event. The majority were kicked off after just a couple seconds.

The 10th Annual Veblen Summer Bash last weekend was a smashingly good time despite some soggy weather that day.

The king and queen will be crowned Monday night on the grass west of the tennis courts at 7 p.m.

In June of 2021, Ray Effling snuck out of the house before 5:30 a.m. But he wasn’t headed to work as usual. Rather, he was meeting a film crew in the early hours of the day in a pasture in order to capture the best light.
