Two incumbents and two challengers are running for two seats in the South Dakota House of Representatives from District 1 in the general election on Tuesday. District 1 includes Marshall, Day and Roberts Counties and a portion of Brown County.
District 1 voters, which includes residents of Marshall, Day, and Roberts Counties and a portion of Brown County, will decide races for the South Dakota Governor, House and Senate when they head to the polls for the general election on Tuesday. There are also a number of other state offices on the ballot as well as two other major ballot issues.

Incumbent Republican Michael Rohl of rural Brown County and Independent challenger Susan Wismer of Britton are vying for the District 1 Senate seat in the South Dakota Legislature in the general election on Tuesday, November 8. Two years ago, Rohl defeated Wismer for the seat.
