Family Reunited After COVID Forces Separation

The Glade family was recently reunited after an 18-month separation due to COVID restrictions. The family had been living in Macau, China, and is currently living on a farm northeast of Langford with hopes of returning to Macau. Aaron and Rebecca Glade are pictured with their son, Foster. Rebecca is a Langford native and the daughter of Don and Suzanne Ogren.

Little did the Glade family know that when Langford native Rebecca (Ogren) Glade decided to visit her parents, Don and Suzanne Ogren, on the family farm that it would be nearly 18 months before she and her young son would be reunited with her husband.

County 4-H’ers Strut Their Stuff

A total of 28 people with 30 total entries participated in the honey competition in honor of Judy Gulleson and plans are to continue to do an adult and youth open class each year. Marshall County 4-H members strutted their stuff and showed off their work from the past year at the annual Achievement Days held last week Tuesday through Thursday.

Britton’s 22nd Harvest Days Called Success

Jake Beck attended Harvest Days all decked out in his fireman attire and received an assist from North Marshall fireman Cason Dinger to practice putting out a fire on Saturday. Jake is the son of Matt and Kelley Beck of Britton.

North Marshall fireman Austin Sasker adjusted the helmet for Jack Baker as he donned fireman apparel as part of the National Night Out at the Britton Area Event Center last week Tuesday. Over 200 people enjoyed a free supper and members of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the North Marshall Fire Department, and the Marshall County Ambulance had vehicles on hand.

The Kiddie Train is always a popular activity for kids during Britton’s annual Harvest Days celebration. Inflatables, carnival games, and free swimming were also hits with the kids.

Rain put a bit of a damper on Britton’s Harvest Days on Saturday night, but plenty of people participated in a bunch of activities planned by the Britton Area Chamber of Commerce for the 22nd annual event.
