Langford Summer Fest Set
Langford’s annual Summer Fest and Alumni Weekend is set for Friday through Sunday, July 26-28.
Billed as the “Biggest Little Party in Northeast South Dakota,” the event will kick off with a yard party at Healy’s Yard from 6-8 p.m. Friday with an alumni party set for 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m. at The Front Porch.
Saturday activities include a town-wide rummage sale from 8 a.m.-noon, Pop-Up Shops in the Park from 3-7 p.m., a Texas Hold ‘em tourney starting at 11 a.m. at The Front Porch, Kids’ Activities in the Park from 3-7 p.m., a Firemen’s Fundraiser Pig Roast at the Fire Hall from 5-8 p.m., a Shriner’s Bean Bag Tournament at the Fire Hall at 5 p.m., Family Movies at the Park of the Pines at 9 p.m., and an alumni party at the Front Porch from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
On Sunday a Community Church Service is planned at the school’s new multipurpose gym at 10 a.m., the Firemen’s Pig Roast from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Show’n Shine Car Show at the Park of the Pines from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and a Musical Review at the school at 12:30 p.m.
Guided tours are planned of the new school addition and renovation on Saturday at 2, 4, and 6 p.m. and on Sunday at noon and 2 p.m. Those taking part in a tour should enter the building from the new south entrance.
