Langford Parade Planned Friday
With last weekend’s snow storm it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and area communities are decorated and planning special activities in their towns during this holiday season.
Langford will kick things off with its annual Santa Day on Friday. The parade of lights will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by lots of fun events at the Legion Hall. There will be time to meet Santa, Christmas refreshments, and drawings for door prizes.
Britton will host its annual Christmas On Parade on Saturday. The Missoula Children’s Theatre will present “Pinocchio” at 5 p.m. at the Britton Area Event Center, followed by the lighted parade at 6:30 p.m.
Havana, ND, is planning its holiday activities on Saturday as well. A community potluck supper is planned at 5 p.m. at the Civic Center, followed by bingo, cake walk, door prizes, and drawings for turkeys. Santa will also make an appearance.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, Pierpont will host its annual Santa Day at Pont’s Pub & Grill. Santa will arrive at 5:30 p.m., Pont’s is planning meal and drink specials, and treats, crafts for holiday shopping, and turkey drawings are planned.
Eden is planning a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, Dec. 13. Businesses will be holding open houses, Tom & Jerry’s, wine, and goodies will be served beginning at 4 p.m. at Club Eden, and Santa will be coming to town at 7 p.m. An “Ugly Sweater” party is also planned at Club Eden on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Veblen’s Santa Day is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Old School Mall. Cookies and beverages will be served and there will be a backdrop set up for attendees to take their own pictures with Santa. Toy drawings will be held for the children who attend, and the event is billed as fun for the whole family.
