Fourteen LA Seniors To Receive Diplomas
Fourteen Langford Area seniors will receive diplomas on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the school gym.
Madisyn Nelson, Madeline Reints, Jordan Schmieg, and Clara Svatos will give the Senior Honor Presentations entitled, “The Finale of Langford’s 2019 Graduates.” As Senior Class President, Svatos will give the welcome, and Principal Toni Brown will recognize honor students and present the Senior Class.
The Langford Area High School Choir will sing, “A Million Dreams,” while the LA High School Band will perform, “Carry On Wayward Son.” The concert band will also play the processional and recessional.
Superintendent Monte Nipp will present the scholarship awards, and Chairman of the Board of Education David Planteen will award diplomas.
Nelson, Reints, and Svatos will graduate with high honor, while Schmieg will graduate with honor. Other members of the graduating class include Noah Allen, Logan Block, Justus Carroll, Molly Hanse, Jonathon Harmon, Zachary Holler, Trey Jensen, Sceleena Kaebel, Addyson Taylor, and Samantha Wika.
The Langford Area Class of 2019 has adopted, “There are many roads we have crossed, many hills we have climbed, and so many dreams we have yet to realize,” as its Class Motto. A gold rose is the class flower, and maroon and white are the class colors.
Langford Area’s final day of classes is Thursday for seniors but other students will have class until Tuesday, May 21, due to days rescheduled because of winter weather. Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. that day.
Britton-Hecla’s commencement ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m. The final day of school at Britton-Hecla is Friday, May 17, when classes will be dismissed at 1 p.m.
