City To Hold Development Meeting
The Britton City Council reorganized at its regular meeting on Monday and also set a special meeting to discuss an economic development issue.
Brian Beck was re-elected as council president, while Shane Storley was again named vice-president. New council member Ward Satterlee also received the oath of office. He replaces Ward 1 councilman Travis Santistevan.
In other business Jared Holland of IntelliFarms, located in the former Titan Machinery building south of Britton, met with the council to discuss the possibility of constructing a building on land presently owned by Britton Livestock on the south edge of Britton. Holland said the business currently employs 14 people, will be adding two more employees this month, has expectations of up to 60 employees in the next three to four years, and needs a larger building.
