Britton’s Wheatcrest Hills Sold
Wheatcrest Hills in Britton has been sold to EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC.
The 100 percent employee-owned family of companies will take over management on Feb. 1.
The 52-bed skilled nursing facility, which has been renamed Wheatcrest Hills Healthcare Center, has been serving Britton since 1968 and is a 5-Star Quality Rated facility by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
“We are excited to welcome Wheatcrest Hills into our family,” said Brent Weil, President and CEO of EmpRes Healthcare. “Smaller communities like Britton fit our employeeowned culture and family approach to care.”
EmpRes Healthcare has a reputation of acquiring facilities in smaller communities. Over 75 percent of EmpRes locations serve populations of 100,000 or less, and more than half serve populations of 50,000 or less.
“We understand that we are likely one of the largest employers in the community,” said Weil. “We intend to keep local leadership in place and to foster relationships to better meet the needs of the Britton community.”
Over the next 12 months, EmpRes plans to invest in significant capital improvements to Wheatcrest Hills’s physical plant. The company is committed to providing quality care and exceptional customer service to its residents and the local Britton community.
Wheatcrest Hills will continue to offer a full range of skilled nursing services, post-acute care, long-term care, outpatient therapy, music therapy, respite stays, and Adult Day Care services.
The employee-owned EmpRes culture helps the company stay committed to the success of its residents, the personal and professional growth of its employee owners, and the health and vitality of each local community it serves. Learn more about EmpRes Healthcare at www.empres.com.
